Thirty years of building big things and leaving almost no trace.

Steady Eddie comes out of a group that has spent thirty years on the right-of-way in Western Canada: directional drilling and trenchless pipeline construction, heavy civil and industrial work, and its own shop, which built its own down-hole tooling and, in time, a complete drill rig. The method the group is known for puts a pipeline in the ground from a narrow working side instead of a cleared right-of-way.

Every programme ends with a guidance document that hands the owner what the crews learned. Steady Eddie is that habit applied to the operator's seat. The group also farms and feeds cattle on its own land, so tractors and the feedlot sit on this site beside the excavators.

The controls are the one interface every machine already has.

Every manufacturer builds a different machine and puts the same thing in every cab: a seat, a set of controls and an operator to work them. Steady Eddie takes that seat. It moves the joysticks, levers and pedals, and the machine runs exactly as it was built to, with nothing added to its electronics and nothing to undo later.

One system covers an excavator, a dozer, a tractor and a loader. Older iron works as readily as new, and the fleet you already own is the fleet it fits.

We are not touching the manufacturer's systems. We are operating them.

Adding autonomy to a machine already in service, without building on its manufacturer's electronics, means working the same controls its operator works. That was the rule from the first day: never onto the machine's CAN bus, never into its ECU, never its firmware.

Control the machine where the operator does. Install the dock once. Deploy Eddie when required. Remove Eddie when not.

Eddie is named for the experienced operator who does not rush, follows procedure, stays inside the limits, repeats work consistently and stops when conditions change. Built to work. Built to remove. Built to perform.
